How to recognize This fish ?

This species has a laterally compressed, oval-shaped body with a straight forehead. The head is black and the chest is white, which gives it its common name.

The flanks are royal blue, the dorsal, pectoral, and caudal peduncle are bright yellow, the ventral and anal fins are white, and the caudal fin is white framed in black. The outer edges of the dorsal and anal fins run parallel to the body along their entire length.

It can also be found in the Maldives, the Seychelles, Mauritius Island, Réunion Island, and Christmas Island. It is not present in the Red Sea.
